Carla graduated from Shippensburg University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and concentration in Human-Environmental Studies. Upon graduating, she was hired as the Pennsylvania Grassroots Field Specialist for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. During her time at the CLUS, she researched Sustainable Community Certification for Chambersburg Borough, which was recognized as a certified gold community in 2017.
